- 5 Day Climb – Dates TBD
Mount Olympus Climb Overview
5 Days • Olympic National Park
Olympus Climb * 5-day: We approach Mt. Olympus, which at 7,962 feet is the highest peak in the Olympic Mountain range and is also one of the most aesthetic peaks in Washington State offering a truly unique wilderness experience. The climb is demanding due to its eighteen mile approach hike up the Hoh River. The final summit pyramid climbs low fifth class rock and offers fantastic views of the Olympic Mountains and the distant Cascade Range. Our guided ascent traverses the Blue Glacier and ascends Snow Dome gaining the Olympus Massif to its summit.
On the approach we experience the Hoh rain forest and Glacier Meadows with its beautiful Avalanche Lily. The five day ascent provides adequate time to summit and our professional guides will introduce the basic mountaineering skills necessary to make the climb.
For large groups, it’s possible to hire Lama support. Although costly, the benefit of lama support makes the journey more pleasant and allows more time to experience this wonderful alpine setting.
Family Adventure Blue Glacier Trek • 5 days: Come experience the lush old growth rain forest of the Hoh river valley and step foot on the majestic Blue Glacier. We’re able to provide a fully supported trek using Lama’s, meaning you only carry a small hiking backpack with your essential clothing and camera gear. Add a few bottles of wine, cheese and crackers and enjoy the mountains first class. Who say’s you shouldn’t have some fun while exploring the backcountry!
